The crest or 'mon' we wear at our dojo firstly consists of the Okinawan flag, representing the routes of our Karate-Do. The WHITE colour is used to symbolise the beginner who comes to our dojo. Empty of knowledge of our art but eager to learn, having as yet, untapped potential for development.

The centre showing the link to Okinawan 'Te' or 'Tode' the old form of Karate-Do. This we also chose to symbolize the concept of people or family (Kazoku) joining together to train or to become 'whole'.

The RED colour is a vibrant colour belonging to the class of things known to Chinese as yang. It denotes a desire to acquire knowledge, a drive for understanding and progress.

The circle's represent life itself, from beginning to end with no perception of a start or end point. Not knowing what lies ahead for us.

The circle's also represent movement, foot movement (ashi sabaki) and body movement (tai sabaki) around an opponent or attacker to gain a beneficial position, to unbalance an adversary or to deflect an attack.

The Sai represent the weapons of kobudo, practiced within the art of karate. Crossed and the centre to symbolise friendship within our art and also the defense of ourselves and that of our families and friends.

The fist represent the empty hand of karate, or Te as it was originally known on Okinawa.

This crest represents OUR Dojo only and is not an association crest.
